APW - Rockford, Grade 800, 24J, 18S, 14K gold HC recase with attractive engraving detail including a griffin to upper front and rear, front shield with an applied Masonic double-headed eagle figure (Eagle of Lagash, for the Scottish Rite), gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, capped third wheel, jeweled barrel arbor with a distinctive "eye" type appearance created by the combination of gold jewel setting and polished steel navette-form plate, mvt marked "RG" denoting railroad grade, fishscale pattern nickel damascene, s#542710. Gross weight of assembled watch 89.1 dwt (138.5 g). A rare high grade railroad watch, the total production of the Grade 800 is believed to be 500 made.

Mvt: Running, setting mechanism operating with a clicking sensation and sound, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, profuse fine to micro-fine scratches and pinpoint surface nicks to balance cock foot, few fine to micro-fine scratches elsewhere; dial with scattered small fine scratches and surface nicks; fine hands, minute with some abrasions; case shows ample wear, evident past repair of front hinge and adjacent area of case lid, crease-type ding to front left of center, mild dent to band at 11:30, reduced engraving detail; tight bow thinned at top, crown shows ample wear with ridge break; good glass crystal.
